Delta

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved store mascot, Delta, on Sunday, May 11th at around 8:10pm

Delta was more than just a bird-he was family to us and a joyful part of our store. Recently, he developed a rapidly growing lump under his abdomen, which the vet confirmed was cancer and the only way to treat it was to have him undergo surgery.

Despite our hopes, he passed peacefully.
Delta was always a happy go lucky bird who made whatever room he was in brighter. He absolutely loved dancing, whistling and just being a silly little boy. Since arriving to the store back in 2023, Delta had always been super bonded to our staff members: Rachel & Ari who spoiled him rotten with treats, kisses and cuddles. He would always be on our counter in the front of the store knocking things over, trying to eat anything he could find and stealing our paperwork. Delta’s last moments were spent with his 2 favorite people in the world. There will never be a bird as special as Delta was. Thank you to everyone who would come in to say hi to delta, ask about him and see how much he was loved ❤️🕊️

Leo

Meet Leo! Our 8 year old Canary Winged Parakeet who is very sassy. Leo who is actually a girl (dna test was done to confirm) is a super diva that knows what she likes and who or what she doesn't. Leo came to us as a bird who was in our boarding room for almost a year until her previous owners couldn't care for her anymore. During her time in our boarding room, our staff member Ari would spend hours playing with her and spending as much time with Leo as possible to keep her happy and make sure she wasn't in a cage all day long. Once her previous owners decided they couldn't take Leo, she was then brought downstairs in hopes of finding a new home that could care for her. Finding a home for Leo turned out to be a hassle as this little lady did not bat an eye to anyone except Ari, who she had formed a strong bond with. We decided to let Leo stay at PBS since no one could handle the fierceness and sassiness of this little parakeet! Nowadays, you can find Leo either flying around the nursery room or hanging out with Ari who she loves very much!
