Society Finches also known as the man-made finch are one of a kind birds. These finches do not exist in the wild, these tiny birds are a domesticated species developed through centuries of selective breeding in Asia then being imported throughout the world. While these guys aren't as flashy as other finches they make up for it with their incredible social personalities and being an amazing parents for young babies and are even known for being excellent foster parents. While they are not typically handled, their curious nature and entertaining behaviors make them delightful birds to watch.

 Cage Size 

When considering getting a cage for your Society Finch we recommend looking into a cage that is at least 18 x 14 that will allow them to get around. Larger cages are best to look into as well since these birds love to fly and jump around frequently. Having lots of space will ensure they are happy and healthy.

 Toys & Accessories 

Society Finches need a variety of toys to keep them busy and happy. Popular toys for this species are toys with paper, bells and soft wood. These toys will keep your finch very happy. Avoid any toys/accessories that contain rope and mirrors as these are dangerous for all parrots. Natural Perches are best for every bird species, most popular perches are made from manzanita and java wood.
