Zebra Finches who are known for their tiny size and being a great beginner bird for anyone wanting a bird to just admire and keep them company. These finches are very social and are best kept in pairs to keep each other occupied. Generally, finches do not want to be handled and are just safer being kept in their cages rather than coming out. Zebra Finches are best kept with one another as mixing other species can result in fighting due to the aggressive nature of Zebras especially during breeding season.

Active cheerful little birds that thrive with company of others. Most Zebra Finches will not want to be handled. These guys love to fly and socialize with one another rather than being touched.

 Cage Size 

When considering getting a cage for your Zebra Finch, we recommend looking into a cage that is at least 18 x 14 that will allow them to get around. Larger cages are best to look into as well. Zebra Finches love to jump everywhere and fly all around. Having lots of space will ensure they are happy and healthy.

 Toys & Accessories 

Zebra Finches need a variety of toys to keep them busy and happy. Popular toys for this species are toys with string and paper that they can pull. These toys will keep your Zebra Finch very happy. Avoid any toys/accessories that contain rope and mirrors as these are dangerous for all parrots. Natural Perches are best for every bird species, most popular perches are made from manzanita and java wood.
